Dirtbiking Crazies

We went to a Kearl/Lowry Family Reunion last weekend at a nice piece of property just outside of Cardston along the creek. Of course we had to take the dirtbikes and lucky for us there were no major injuries and no hospital visits.

Even our sweet little princess has taken to the dirtbiking. I must say she is a little more cautious than Jordan is. He got on the little bike by himself and cranked his wrist just as hard as he could. It was a sight to see Darcy sprinting after the bike yelling "put the breaks on JJ - put the breaks on!" We finally got him stopped and that was the end of Jordan driving by himself. That didn't stop him from continuing in his dare devil ways!

Here he is checking out how much air he is getting on this pop a wheeleeeeee!

I think boys just like to make their moms worry!

His face says it all in this picture "Look at me mom - isn't this awesome!"

Thank goodness for great neighbours! (Heaven knows we have had our share of not so great ones! AKA Dragon Lady and Dragon Lady 2) My neighbour Lara did a fun photo shoot with my kids the other day and boy did they have fun! The pictures turned out great. If you want to see more of them check out Lara Ellis' page and Lara Ellis' photography page on Our Friends list! There are more photos to come!

I Hope You Dance

Sadie had her final dance performance this weekend. These pictures were taken during her dress rehearsal.

She looked so beautiful in her ballet costume and so sassy in her jazz costume!

She did such a great job on her performance day. Daddy came to watch this year and was very impressed with what a good dancer Sadie is. He brought her flowers and she beamed from ear to ear when he gave them to her. Sadie, you were born to dance!

A Pirate's Life for Me

We celebrated Jordan's birthday at the end of June so all of his friends would be around for his birthday party. We had a beautiful day and were able to do the whole party outside. (That is very rare in Calgary!) The boys had a swashbuckling good time!

They were entertained by Captain Jack Sparrow (Carson) and he did a great job playing all kinds of games with them. This was called "Bomb the Enemy Ship" and they had to throw baseballs through the holes in the ship.

This was "Walk the Plank" while sword fighting with Captain Sparrow. The boys thought this was great fun!

Jordan opening presents with his friend Ethan by his side.

This was the best game of all. Bomb Jack Sparrow. They had squishy balls soaked in water and Jack Sparrow ran around the yard while they tried to soak him with their water balls. This game could have gone on all day.

JJ totally enjoying his roll as "Captain JJ"

Of course it wouldn't be a pirate party without a treasure hunt with a treasure chest full of loot for the boys. They enjoyed dressing up like pirates and fighting with their swords.

What time is it Jack Sparrow? - Abandon Ship! This was so cute to watch them play.

Here they are all dressed up in their pirate garb. Ahoy Matey! It was a great Party!

Wrapping up the School Year

Well the school year is coming to an end (yahoo!) and we have been busy wrapping up another great year. Jordan has enjoyed playing soccer this year. One of the highlights was the Saturday he got to have his best buddy (and cousin) Cody play on his team. We were watching Cody for the weekend and because he was missing his own soccer game Jordan's AWESOME COACH (his daddy) let Cody play on Jordan's team. It was the most fun I have had in a long time watching 4-year-olds play soccer. These two crack me up. They were a mean green team that is for sure!

This was the famous chest bump cheer when they did something awesome they would run up to each other and jump up to bang chests and then some high fiving would follow! HILARIOUS TO WATCH!

It is amazing that even at such a young age these two have great team work.

This is Cody in Action! If you have ever watched 4-year-olds play soccer there is not much passing going on. It is usually each man for himself . . . .

But Cody and Jordan were passing back and forth and made a few great plays. They were always looking for each other on the field and it was fun to watch them.

WHAT A TEAM!

Then there was sports day. This is Kailey (in the white shirt) and her best buddies Tara (purple shirt) and Katie (blue shirt). (Tara and Kailey get mistaken for the each other quite a bit thus I had to point out the shirt colors.) For these girls it is all about the matching outfits or bandanas etc. They get to go to middle school next year and are really excited about this. Look out Springbank Middle School here comes TRIPPLE TROUBLE!

JJ got a new bike as an early birthday present. You should see him go! It is all about the reving engine on the handlebars of this bike. It gives him super power to ride even faster!

We are looking forward to a fun summer and hope that it doesn't go by too quickly. The yard work is always present but I don't complain because I love my garden. Darcy has got the landscaping finally completed (4 years since we moved into this house) and it looks awesome.
