Kailey the Cavalier!

We are into the thick of basketball season at school for Kailey.  She has played a lot of basketball in the last 2 weeks.  Coach Valente is so happy to have Kailey on the team this year.

Don't play such close defense #11 or she will burn you!

 A little outside shot!

Even though she is one of the tallest players on the team
she ends up bringing the ball up the court quite a bit.

 Some foul shot action.

The Cavaliers came second in their home tournament last week.

Despite going into the St. Greg's tournament this week with a rolled ankle, a bruised tail bone, and a badly sprained finger, (its a rough game out there) Kailey won the tournament All Star.
Way to go Kailey!  We are proud of our Cavalier! (She walks in her brother's footsteps pretty well!)

Jordan on the Court

Game day is always exciting for Jordan.  He gets so pumped to play his games.
He played well this last weekend . . . fighting for the rebounds
. . .  shooting a few times

Even a fast break . . .

which he took to the hoop . . .

. . . and got fouled.  First time to the line for JJ!
It was so cute to watch his "at the line routine" before he took the shot.  A little dribble, spins the ball and bounce once into the hands, pause for 2 seconds of concentration and let that shot go!  You can tell he watches a lot of basketball because he had his own little rountine which he repeated perfectly both times he shot.  It made me smile!

I love this next picture of him getting some good tips from his assistance coach.  We are always gratefull for good coaches and Jordan has a few of them!

Sadie Gets Glasses!

So just when I thought I had passed my amazing eyesight on to at least 1 of my 4 children we find out that Sadie needs glasses just like the other 3 kids.  I was so disappointed but she was so excited.  She bugged me every day asking if her glasses were done yet.  After her relentlessly bugging me about it, I picked them up and she got what she has wanted for years - GLASSES!  She looks really cute and she absolutely loves them.  I guess I don't know what it is like to have to wear glasses so it doesn't excite me to get them.  I just know they cost a lot of money and will continue to cost a lot of money for the rest of their lives.  I'm am thankful that she can see good now!

Christmas Day 2012

The only thing Carson really wanted for Christmas.  He is not much of a gamer but has spent some time in front of the TV this Christmas holidays.

Kailey opening some fun gifts.

Jordan had the biggest present ever from Mortimer (our family elf)  What could it be?

A Green Machine!  Jordan is in LOVE!

Auntie making cotton candy for all the kids.

Christmas Eve

We had a really fun Christmas this year at Grandma and Grandpa Gibbs. The whole Gibb Family was home for Christmas and the house was crazy but fun.

Kailey adoring her new PJ's.  This is a huge deal for me to finally hit the spot with Kailey liking something that I give her.  Actually I have to give props to Grandma. She is the one that found these PJ's for Kailey.

Sadie was pretty excited about her new PJ's as well.  Can you tell?

Carson getting ready to play the handbells.

Cousins - nothing more fun than spending Christmas with cousins (Jaden, Sadie, and Calli)

Grandma and Grandpa opening their gifts from the kids.  We had puzzles made of the cabin and a photo collection of all their grandkids.

I think they liked the gifts.
